Wedding Day Schedule

Recommended Posts

What will/did your wedding day schedule look like? We're planning on having the ceremony at 2:00, but don't want people standing around bored between the ceremony and dinner. We're doing a cocktail hour, I guess I'm looking for some ideas of what to do in between.

I agree with all the other posts. If you're at an AI, there's plenty to do, and I think people will naturally pass the time visiting and relaxing. Our ceremony is at 11 a.m. and dinner isn't until 6:30, but I'm sure we'll be looking forward to the down time. I will probably get no sleep the night before and have to be up early to get my hair and makeup done, so I might wind up snoozing by the pool or on the beach until I have to get back into my dress for the reception!

These things are good to hear. Our ceremony time is 11am at RIU also and we haven't started planning what to do inbewteen then and the evening festivities. I like how laid back destinations wedding can be and how, like someone said above - the rules don't apply! :-)

Our ceremony is at 330pm and we are also having a cocktail/hor d'oeurves hour. So if the ceremony is only 20 mins, we'll have bubbly and snacks then mingle and take pictures for the hour or so and then dinner will be around 6/630? I think that should work...I hope! lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
