There is a ton of info on all 5 of these resorts if you either browse through the DR threads, or if you use the search function to narrow down each resort. CONGRATS and HAPPY PLANNING!

My wedding is April 23, 2010 at Excellence. The wedding coordinators are great to work with, they respond very quickly to my emails, and really seem dedicated to making my wedding special. I love that it is adults-only because we don't have any children that would be coming, but I know this could be a problem for other brides. I also love not having to make reservations at the restaurants. I have been to other resorts and I hated that aspect. Hope this helps. Happy planning!

I am getting married at the Iberostar Bavaro in April 2010. They have been very helpful and nice. The Iberostar Grand looks so nice but I have kids coming to my wedding, thats why we didn't go with that one. I have also stayed at some of the other Iberostars and had a great time!
The Majestic took over 2 weeks to respond if they even had the date available. I thought that was a bad sign.
Good Luck!

I getting married at the Paradisus Punta Cana. What I love about the resort were all the lush gardens. It's a Beautiful sight! I'm going for more Classic, romantic feel and the garden was a perfect match.
Hope that was helpful... Happy Planning!

Good luck in choosing! For me, the most agonizing experience in all of the planning so far has been choosing the resort. However, once that was done, everything got more exciting and fun! We decided to go with Iberostar Bavaro.

I'm getting married at the Occidental Grand in Puta Cana. I have not been able to find anyone on this site that has been there! :-(
However, I know people that have been there and they all sing praises.

Congrats FutureMrsBeatty!
I've just started my research and haven't found out much but here is what I've got. We have a couple of kids coming and the Excellence doesn't allow children. I've heard good things about the Majestic Elegance as a resort (very clean), and more good than bad for weddings. From what I can gather it just depends on which WC you get.
This may seem silly but does anyone know which resorts have an infinity pool? My FI is making that one of his 'requirements' haha *rolling eyes! Boys, what can you do?

I've heard great things about paradisus from friends and fellow photographers.
Also Dreams isn't on your list - but I've been there and it was awesome! They have beach weddings as well as gazebo weddings. The resort is immaculate and the gardens are very well taken care of.
Happy planning and I'm sure whatever you choose will make for the best DW!
