Why are people so rude??

People are going to be rude and say rude things whether or not you get married away or at home. I think unfortunately it's just one of those things that come along with wedding planning. Everyone seems to want you to make it easy for them despite what your plans or dreams for your wedding might be. At the end of the day, this is your wedding and should be about what you want. Don't let other people's negativity bring you down, that's their problem. Chin up and have fun!!!!

These are some of the reasons WHY we chose a destination wedding.  It weeds out a flakes.  Obviously if someone can't afford it, I won't hold it against them.  I put all the snarky comments aside and just smile because that means that person wont be there to ruin the day in the end.  Good riddens!

i totally understand where you and the other ladies are coming from !!. all my friends who i have talked about my wedding with wont be coming because its not gonna be local. They keep asking me to change it but frankly i live 5 hours away from them for the last 3 years and not once have they even made the trip here to see me.( i go to them a week every 4 months to visit)  I personally want a dw so that most of my side of the family doesn't come, i haven't spoken to most in years and if it was held locally they would be invited out of guilt and they would only show for the food and drinks ( it sounds harsh but its true).  my sis and BIL will be the only attendees on my side. as for my FI side.. would u believe we still havent told them lol... its going to be nothing but lectures and i really dont care enough to listen to it right now LOL.

Remember Ladies its ur and his big day.. plan it for where you want to be and surround yourself with the ppl who support you and the decisions on your wedding. last thing you want is to be at your DW and have to listen to ppl whine and moan about the money they are spending to be there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
