I have my date!! Now what...

Recommended Posts

YEAH!!! I'm so excited! I FINALLY have my date for the wedding!! I'm getting married Nov 12th at 2pm at the ROR. I've been waiting months to finally figure out the date for our wedding and now we're finally confirmed with the ROR.

My question is.. now what? What are my next steps? I'd like to book the Seagrape but I'm not sure how far in advance I have to book it. Also, did past/current brides just email the WC or did anyone put together a package of your "vision" and mail it to her? I read on another forum that attachments are a hard for them to d/l. I was thinking that I would put together a package of my "vision" such as the ceremony script and just mail it to her. Would that work?

Thanks so much for the advice. I've been reading lots on the forum but I was still a little fuzzy on what I should be contacting the WC about and when. I don't want to be one of those pain-in-the-butt brides. At the same time, I want to make sure I'm organized and have everything in place the WC will need so I don't have to stress on the wedding day.

This forum has been my saving grace though, the information is soo helpful and folks have always replied to my posts with such great advice.

I thank you so much!!

I have found Chandlyn to be great responding to a few direct questions. I am just going to do almost everything at our meeting. I have emailed her to book our pool reception about 3 months before. I am hoping we will work out all the details when I get there. All of the brides I have spoken to assure me thiis will be no problem. I will let you know! Less than 3 weeks to go now!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
