Prices on Paradisus Punta cana

Recommended Posts

I really like paradisus Punta Cana because of the decorations that are beautiful BUT I just received the prices for the package that I like and its $3,400 for 20 people without inlcuding the alcohol....and for each additional In-house guest is $80.00 plus $16.00 for the alcohol per person... so that’s $ 96 dollars per person…..

Can this be possiblehuh.gif

If so please send me information on other resorts that are as beautiful as paradisus but doesn't cost as much as paradisus…

We didn't use a package. We did everything a la carte (they have a price list they should send you on this if you don't already have it). We also didn't have to pay for the open bar b/c they failed to quote us that cost in our planning emails, so we were lucky on that (they tried to tack it on but I had all of our email correspondence with us, so they honored the quoted rates in the emails).

Also, we brought all of our own decorations and kept things really simple. The flowers and decorations are sssooo expensive at the resort. We brought all of that and saved a TON of money that way. And it was just as beautiful.

Have you taken the time to read through the threads on BDW?

Here is a link to my last post that should be helpful for you, and it has links to pictures from our ceremony and reception so you can see it was still perfect even without all of the expensive decorations. Like I said, we brought our own. I made the place cards for the meals and showed the WC how I wanted the centerpieces to look and then they did it all and it was at no charge.

The link to my Wedding Album has the best pics of our decorations, etc, but just a heads up that it will take a bit of time for all of the pictures to download.

I hope that helps! Good Luck and CONGRATS!

ambeato, i'm sort of in the same boat as you, only i've already paid the deposit so have no choice. >< I don't fully regret it, b/c it IS a beautiful resort and from foxytv's pics, the gazebo and everything look amazing. It's just sooo expensive. For us and for our guests.

foxytv, we've already signed the contract and said that we were going with the aqua packages. do you think they'll let us choose a la carte instead? that *might* be cheaper, as we do not need a lot of the extras. As we get closer to the date I may be msging you more about how you made the decorations and stuff if you don't mind! :P i LOVED the set up of your wedding, and if it saves money, that's even better. thanks in advance!

Linda - I never signed a contract, but I would think you could make the changes if you do it soon. My guess is the contract really just confirms that you won't be backing out of the whole DW. I found going a la carte was WAY less expensive. And I used the DIY threads on BDW for inspiration in order to come up with things to do on my own that would add pizazz and yet not cost a lot of $$. I think the simplicity of our set-up worked perfectly for us - but of course everyone's tastes are different. I'm happy to help. Pretty much details of everything I did are in my threads.

You will need to search for my Planning Thread but that has a lot more info on things I made and brought.

My fiance and I just decided on the Paradisus Punta Cana for our wedding.  We chose the "Chill Out Chic" package for 24 people (http://www.paradisus.com/romance-weddings-thechill.php).  It includes the ceremony, a 1 hour cocktail reception (open bar) and a 3 hour sit down dinner reception (open bar) for $3500.  I'm not sure where you are getting your information about alcohol not being included...  Have you talked to Lauren Harder, the Romance Travel Specialist?

Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
