I'm wondering if I just gave all of them to the front desk, if they could hand them out when guests check in?
yes, I thought about that, but I was going to give them at the welcome dinner, or have them sitting in their room when they first arrived, haven't decided yet....

At the liquor store here in Pa. I was lucky and not even out looking for them.

I've also added the fan that everyone has been talking about to my bags this week.

I think we've decided on shipping the # of bags of guests that will be arriving the same day as us (7) and then trying to take the other 13 bags down with us. This way our guest traveling with us will be surprised when we check in. This shouldn't be to bad?? And yes, the hotel (ERC) said they would issue the bags to our guest as they check in. I'll have to find out if that's an adt'l charge, she never mentioned it.

I gave out my oot bags on Sunday at my meet and greet. I wanted to bring them with us but it just seemed impossible in the end. The bags were a huge hit, everyone loved them. I begged everyone to please not forget their cups, so we now will wait and see. I gave one bag per person coming to the wedding, and I gave one bag per family who was invite to the wedding but are unable to attend. I think it was really appreciated by these guests that I hadn't forgotten them. It was a nice day, and my thankyou letter brought tears to everyone's eyes, it was a hallmark kind of day.

Kelly - That was sweet of you to give bags to people not even going, never heard of that one before :o)

We gave most of ours out at the Welcome Dinner. As people arrived they were given their bag and a glass of sangria...yum! The people we saw before the WD got theirs in advance. I think it's a nice touch to hand deliver them rather than have a hotel employee do it...plus the bags are never out of your control.

I was thinking of it, but with 80+ guests, it would get really expensive, so I'm not anymore. And yes, that's true that most resorts have unlimited towels, never thought of that.

I was, but all the nice ones were too expensive and then the weight.... I chose to forego it, but it would have been nice...

I would do towels if I could find them for a dollar... but then again, if I did towels, I would want them to be personalized. Otherwise, it's just another towel that takes up A LOT of space in luggage.

Since I gave them out here at home, and the bar-b-q I had was for everyone invited to the wedding, not just those attending, I didn't want anyone feeling left out therefore this was my solution. In my thankyou letter I made sure I mentioned those not attending the wedding would be missed, and in our hearts during our ceremony...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
