Just got back from Cali this morning...!!!had a lay over in Boston lots of storms..ugh...didn't get home till about two in the morning.THE WEDDING COULDN"T HAVE WENT ANY BETTER!!!.Our ceremony was 6:45pm ...I was freakin' alittle cause I was sitting in the limo when everyone got out to go down to the beach...to back up alittle got married in Santa Barbara Calif. on sandy beach in shoreline park.the weather couldn't have been better...but as i was saying I ws sitting in the limo waiting for the cue to get out when I get a call from the officiant that the tide was coming in on our site and didn't know if the ceremony was going to take place there.!!!..keep in mind minutes from the wedding!!!Then I get a call from the limo guy who went to check on them that it was a go so I got out...My dad helped me hold the dress as we walked together down 82 steps to the beach below...shoreline park basically overlooks the pacific in santa barbara...absolutely great locale by the way for future brides thinking cali..so we had to walk down stairs to get to the beach. As the waves we crashed on the shore My dad and i walk towards everone...we had a small intimate affair of 12 close family and friends..Sean my husband looked amazing...he had a Ralph Lauren tux..in Starwood..!!Light pinstripe and smooth silver cravat...We went with ivory shirts since the dress was ivory...but didn't matter either way.On to the ceremony..which was simple and elegant..officiant wrote our vows...and i tweeked it just a tad.It perfectly stated what i wanted to say..cause we have had to deal with a few medical issues with sean since he stopped smoking..type 2 diabetic ..needs to have edoscopy...diagnosed with gerd a few years back while in military...thinks it came back with a vengance.Still waiting for that... july 17th..maybe colitis..we'll have to see.So I really hope that was the tough part behind us.Though I was going to cry through my vows ...suprisingly calm as a cucumber...we both were.Did sand ceremony...which pics came out great...lit candles for deceased grandparents..didn't have hurricane covers was gonna get them ...there cause didn't want them broken on flight.but no time..oh well was lit for 2 seconds then went out..Also did sanddollar ceremony...neat...great pic from that.Officiant husband is photographer...had book of poses very handy...supposed to be getting pic cd over this coming weekend.had to fill out forms to request confidential copies of license..hoping to change name this week..still honey mooning till monday when i go back to work next week.Dinner was great ...had wedding dinner at Mandalay beach resort...restaurant Capistranos...very good food and service...got to dinner a few hours late from taking those pics but they were understanding...oh well.I was the only party reserved for the day it's their fault if they only reserve one event at a time.It was for 8 and we got there more like 10:00...WHOOPS!Wasn't able to bustle dress ...little too complicated ...so I just carried it...worked out anyway.Stayed in Oxnard near place...them went off to Solvang very quaint beautiful shopping ...danish town..took a detour to Cuyuga Lake.Very beautiful. Then went to BIL 's apartment in LA took us to universal...chinese theatre and ate at hard rock.. went to Hermosa beach ...played to the sand for a bit...like a kid again..great pics..Headed out back to PA tuesday...going to waterpark tomorrow if it's nice out...so much swirling around in my head right now...husband and MIL talking about it right now..haven't talked them since sunday night when we saw them last. When I got home the first thing I made my husband do is to get me the cd my SMIL made for us ...GREAT PICS very happy ...digital cam..think we found pic to use for thank yous...having a party for pa family august 12 ...MORE PARTYING YAYYY!! • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
