first of all...you're going to look BEAUTIFUL regardless!!! as for advice, you can do A LOT in three weeks, you'd be surprised. drink lots and lots of water...don't drink anything but water (no diet soda, no crystal light, etc--just water). cut out junk food, but let yourself splurge once a week (one meal only...like fish and chips tonight!) the other days stick to healthy foods and eat small meals more often (6 small meals a day will speed up your metabolism). park your car far away from stores and take stairs instead of elevators/escalators.

I did this for a month before our vacation this year and lost 10 lbs, which being short equals 2 dress sizes!! good luck, be strong!!

3. Cut down on salt intake.
4. Drink lots of water.
5. Cut out fast food and eat clean (salads, grilled chicken/fish).
6. Cut down on carbohydrates intake (bread, pasta).

At this point, do what you can and don't stress out over it. Hope this helps. smile29.gif
100 percent agree with Poohshek. Also another member mentioned Bikram Yoga (heated room 105degrees). It works miracles. try it for one week and you will see results. Not only do you sweat out toxins and junk it also helps relieve stress and stress triggers Cortisol, which loves to hang around our midsection.

Keep a positive attitude! I have 5 months until our wedding & have been stressing over the same thing. My FI encourages me to keep doing what I need to do but he hates when all I do is get upset on my looks/not losing enough, etc. Do what you can but don't make yourself sick right before the big day.

Thanks ladies. Well I enjoyed those fish and chips tonight so hopefully I've got my fix. I know I'll for sure lose a few pounds the first week just by eating healthier and cutting out some carbs. I have also found in the past that yogurt is really, really, really helpful in debloating me. I buy the balkan fruit on the bottom kind. It's higher in fat but it honestly works. Bikram yoga here i come

Happy New Years :)

Have you heard of the universal contour wrap? I'm a personal trainer and a nutrition coach, so I'm totally not about quick fixes, but my mom tried it and it worked amazingly for her. It's a natural sea clay mask that tones and detoxifies your skin. You get all bundled up for an hour, and while you're getting the treatment most spas usually give you a facial as well. This isn't dehydration or anything stupid like that. You can find tons of amazing reviews about it online. I think it's like $250 but they guarantee you'll lose a combination of 6" inches all over your body and you'll keep it off for 30 days.

Kiss and Makeup had good things to say about it:

No I'm not a saleswoman and like I said, I'm not into gimmicky stuff to lose weight, but if you're really panicking then you could look into it!

HI! we leave on the 17th of January too. You still have time!!!!

Sending positive vibes your way! I have been OVER watching what Im eating and OVER exercising and though it may sound crazy. It makes me feel better. Try not to put yourself in a fast food/bad food situation. And keep drinking tons of water. Stay busy. Chew gum. These are all my little tips I use myself. I want to be comfortable on our big day. SO I keep telling myself that. And I usually want to give up. But I dont let myself. I am doing Jillian Michaels work outs and I love them! I feel great and see results!

Good luck and keep your head up! You will be a beautiful bride!

I know we have this vision on how we want to look, and when we dont meet those standards get really down on ourselves. Remember that your husband to be loves you for you, and you two are getting married! Having a perfect figure on your wedding day is nice, but in the end there is so much more that matters.

Obviously Im not saying throw everything out the window, just dont beat yourself up over it if you dont lose the 10lbs by your wedding day.

Now Im speaking from experience. I have gained a lot of weight in the last year, some of it due to health problems, and some of it due to personal decisions. I obsessed over it. Literally. And still am after the wedding and seeing the pictures. So bad that when our TTD pictures came back, my husband said, please be kind to yourself. You are beautiful no matter how you look.

I have to admit, it sort of has brought a negative cloud bearing over us. I can see the frustration and sadness in my husband eyes when all I can talk about is how much back fat I had, or big my arms looked. In reality only I noticed those things, everyone else just keeps complimented me on how beautiful I look, and how great we looked as a couple. But of course I have blinders on since Im obsessing so much. What I should focus on is how the amazing day was captured (and it surpassed amazing by miles!), and I am now married to my best friend!

Just thought Id put that out there from someone who has had experience in this subject before :)
Couldn't have said it better myself. My advice is definitely relax. Remember stressing over these things can also have a negative effect over anything weight related especially your metabolism and those sneaking cravings we get. Like the girls said your FI loves you just the way you are, don't let those small details ruin your day!

You have time 1.drink 2/3 pints of water a day.

2.Limit your hot drinks to 4 no sugar and little milk.

3.No bread pasta potatos

4.Eat only lean meats chicken and fish

5.Always start your meal with two mouthfuls of protein.

Apparantly if you start with anything else the glucosce levels rise and after a while they reach there peek and then stop so you then cant burn it off

Hope you feel inspired to kick arse on your fat back.I should post piccies of me in my wedding basque last night.I have so much poking over it looks like a bum.(my teenage sons words not mine) although i have to agreesad.gif Back on my plan in the morning xx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
