good job so far this week everyone! I'm down a pound from last week, so that's amazing for me since I don't usually lose that much per week! :)

Mel - I only drink pop once per week....I actually find that I am so used to drinking water all the time that pop and stuff usually tastes too sweet now and it turns me off lol. I am strange! :)

I've been restricting my calories to under 1500. It seems like a huge change compared to my lifestyle before... I would think I should be dropping weight a little faster. I'm not giving up by any means but it's just getting frustrating. What is working for people?
As crazy as this seems, you may need to check if you're restricting your calories TOO much. If you're hitting the gym really hard and not eating enough to fuel all that exercise, then your body is going to go "WTF? There must be a famine. I need to store these calories instead of burning them."

Try using a tool that will give you a target caloric range based on your weight and exercise schedule. I know Sparkpeople takes those into account, and they give you a range of how much you should be eating.

Alternatively, it could also be just what everyone else is saying --more muscle gained this week.

So one of the managers in my organization is leaving and everyone went out to lunch for her yesterday (I skipped, partly because I had a ton of work to do, partly because I didn't really care for her anyway, and partly because I was pretty sure the pizza and pasta being served at the restaurant would trump my will power). Then, a bunch of people baked yummies. We had brownies, two types of chocolate chocolate chip cookies, cupcakes, peanut brittle, and a few different types of amazing looking cookie bars.

The guy who is heading up our weight loss challenge at work hands me a plate. I thought he was just being a gentleman and passing out plates for people. Apparently, he was trying to sabotage and only passed them out to the weight loss challenge participants!!

I need to get back on track. I didn't do as well this week as I did last week.

It's definitely hilarious! I just couldn't believe his nerve! This guy is going to be my new boss too... fun stuff.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
