Here's to Season 9!!
Hey Sapphire723,

I can definitely see a big difference -- amazing job! It looks like you toned up quite a bit as well as losing weight. I have to say though -- looking at your weight loss ticker, it doesn't look like you have room to lose 22 more pounds?! You look great!

I've still got about 4 pounds to go (well, six after vacation) before I'm in the "not overweight" BMI grouping. My doctor said she'd like to see me at least 10 pounds lighter than that. And my sister (who's a personal trainer, but not MY personal trainer because she lives a couple hours away) said I should lose another 4-5% body weight. And my Wii says I should lose more than 22lbs.

The 22lbs is a theoretical goal. If I lose another 15 or 16 or can fit into all of my old clothes or if the only thing jiggling is in my bra, then I am not going to be pouty at a silly number on a scale.

Plus, the nice thing about being 5'9 is that a couple extra pounds has a lot of height to distribute itself, so gaining five pounds is way less noticeable on me than on someone who is 5'0.

But thank you for the compliment! It's always nice to hear.

And great job to all of you girls... especially those who stuck with it! I think finishing lower than you started is a win in and of itself.

Congrats LeAnne. It is definitely a noticeable difference. You look great. I would not listen to your Wii, there is no way you need to lose 22 more lbs.

I only managed to lose 4 lbs in Season 8 but it is better than gaining!! I am looking forward to season 9. I still have 13 lbs to go before I reach the weight I was when FI and I started dating (and when all my cute clothes fit)

Some exciting news I thought you ladies would appreciate. I went to order my wedding dress yesterday. I had tried it on a few weeks ago. Well, when I tried it on the first time, the sample dress fit perfectly. When I went yesterday, she had to use the clips because the samply dress was too big. So even though I only lost 4 lbs on season 8, it already meant ordering my dress one size smaller. Yippee.

Wow, nice! That must have felt amazing! Great job :)
I think that is also another nice example of how we should not get caught up by what the numbers say -- you probably toned up quite a bit and all of your hard work is paying off.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
