BDW Biggest Loser ~ Season 8

Ok girls... I'm starting to feel like my efforts are wasted. I've been working out 5-7 days a week for 4 weeks (an hour each day)... I've only lost 3-4 pounds. From last week I am the same! UGH! I've been restricting my calories to under 1500. It seems like a huge change compared to my lifestyle before... I would think I should be dropping weight a little faster. I'm not giving up by any means but it's just getting frustrating. What is working for people?

Ok trying again for a 3rd time. Dang computer.

I've been working out for 4 weeks - usually 6 days a week (1 day of strength training and the rest cardio). i'm only down 4 pounds... while I AM happy to be down... I just feel like I should be down more... the weight is just barely coming off and in fact this week i'm the same weight as last. I've been eating about 1500 calories or less... which is a big change from where I was before I started this plan. Any ideas what my problem is? What is working for everyone else?

That is what it came down to for me too! I would rather have that cookie and I can if I drink a Diet Coke instead. And once you get used to it it doesn't taste so strange lol!!

queendiva, i absolutely feel your pain. my FI came home with a huge bag of mcdonald's at MIDNIGHT over the weekend, asking if i wanted any. well of course i *want* mcdonald's! should i? hell no! (i didn't ... yay me)

i almost kicked his ass tho when he plopped the bag right in front of me and then proceeded to NOT EAT IT until about 20 minutes later. i had to sit there and smell it and salivate until i finally screamed at him "are you eating it or not?! wtf?!?!"
Oh wow! I'm so glad you understand my pain. I know what they say about not depriving yourself, and eating in moderation, but I have to do what works for me. I have absolutely NO self control what so ever!! If I have a little of something, you better believe it's gonna end up being a LOT! What works for me is not even going there... glad you didn't eat the McDonalds wink.gif

Down a pound :)

I can say I am loving the way Im feeling with each workout. I forgot how great it feels to get stronger!

Coke....soda is my BIGGEST weakness. Ive tried to do those 100 calorie cans, and sometimes it works. I just get so sick of drinking water all the time. Ive tried a few ways, but anyway suggestions on how to kick this habit. I shouldnt be drinking my calories!

good job so far this week everyone! I'm down a pound from last week, so that's amazing for me since I don't usually lose that much per week! :)

Mel - I only drink pop once per week....I actually find that I am so used to drinking water all the time that pop and stuff usually tastes too sweet now and it turns me off lol. I am strange! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
