I am getting married in ROR in 15 days. I emailed Chandlyn on several occasions about extras for the wedding and I just canâ€t get a straight answer from her!! One day it is something and another day it is something else. So Iâ€m turning to you fellow brides… can anyone tell me without any doubt that I can pay credit card for extras or if I have to pay cash for some and can pay credit card for others?

Meaning…

Flowers for the BM

Aisle runner

DJ

Pool reception

Chairs with sashes

Extra bottles of champagne

Thanks for all the help you can provide.

She told me I can pay with credit card or travellers cheques. The only one Im unsure of is the dj, he hasnt got back to me yet, so Im not sure what he takes. Did you get the dj the resort has (I think his name is djkprince or something like that?)

Hello day after me bride! getting excited Josee?

Ok so I got some answers...

The minister US$350 visa

The steel drum band for the ceremony US350 cash

Dinner at the steakhouse - Free

The poolside reception US15 per person visa

The DJ US150 per hour cash

I thought she booked the DJ? As for flowers who did you go with - depending who your talking to they may take cash or visa - you might have to cheque.

PM me I think were on the same flight :)

Hi Andrea,

You have to pay $15US/person to get an open bar for the night. Meaning they will se your own little private bar with a bartender.

I just love the information you all provide!! Thank you!!

An additional question I have about the reception, do you actually have to use the open bar and pay $15/person? I'm wondering if anyone knows if we can just set up some candles and play music for dancing (using IPOD) and save the fee? I don't want to sound cheap but my FI and me are paying for all of this on our own so if I can save a few $$ for unnecessary things, I'd like to. At an all-inclusive resort I find it unnecessary to pay for a private open bar when all I want to do is use some space to dance.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
