I just received an email that a Hard Rock Hotel in Punta Cana was opening in Spring 2010 - looks pretty cool!

It also says it is all-inclusive - even better :)

The Hard Rock is taking over the Moon Palace Resort in the Spring. Apparently nothing is changing, except the name, the casino and some music inspired decor. I am planning my wedding there for June 2010 (of course, I began planning BEFORE it was a Hard Rock). Not sure how it will be, but we'll see!!

As long as I dont have to get married by Elvis, or behind a glowing neon yellow guitar...I'll be fine.

It is all-inclusive, 11 pools, 4 swim up bars, a gorgeous beach, golf, spa and casino. The rooms also have jacuzzi tubs IN the rooms. Pictures of the place are pretty impressive. I have a friend traveling there for vacation this weekend...so when I hear back, I'll post more info and maybe some pics! Any other brides plannig their wedding at Moon Palace/Hard Rock Resort?!

At first I wasn't too pleased when I heard about the change, only after about a month of signing the contract. However, the more I thought about it, I figured it would add an extra element of "good times" which I really want to make sure our guests are provided with. As long as the feel is still Punta Cana, not Vegas, I'll be good!

I heard about this change. I wonder what it will be like. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing photos and hearing reviews from people who go there, since we have yet to decide on a date/resort!

I also started planning my wedding before the change was announced, actually 2 weeks before final payment was due for the rooms I got an email. I was scared at first, but my wedding is in 2 weeks March 27, I will keep everyone posted on how it goes.

Hard Rock did not take over the resort. Palace purchased the Hard Rock franchise. Palace still owns and operates the resort as a Palace property. Changes will not be complete until summer 2010.

Will rates you think be lower due to all the construction if this place isnt done till summer 2010? Interested to hear about a wedding here as it shows amazing.
