Okay I keep trying to add it as an attachment, but I think it is just too big. blush2.gif I'm not sure what to do, any suggestions are welcome. In till then, Lori has been extremely helpful and patient with me. I'm sure if you e.mail her she will definitely send you the attachment of flower options. I'm sure you can have something else done s far as flowers..these are just the few that come with selective packages. :)

(We went to GPJ in June) To us, our photos are one of the most important things, because its really the only thing we get to bring back with us that is tangible as far as our wedding day/week. Plus I just really LOVE pictures! :)

Don't feel like your unorganized! I was under the impression that everything would be taken care of when we got to the resort as far as picking out things. Everything will be easy breezy! I do have to say though, that since the WC have changed so much, i find myself doing a lot of "pre picking" and asking a lot of questions to Lori. The wedding packages have changed dramatically since over 6 months ago when I saved our wedding date with a deposit.

alright ladies, It's late, I have got to get to bed. I hope some of these posts of mine make since to someone! lol. Happy planning!
I didn't like any of the flowers that we were given as choices but I think we're going to be able to work something out with me paying a little extra.

As for the photographer - I'm using a Jamacan Photographer (Sungold) - their work is amazing, who has done work at GPJ before and not had any problems getting in there.

I emailed the resort on Saturday and I was informed that Lori is no longer with Grand Palladium Jamaica! The new contact aside from Nina is Phylicia Haywood. She's at the same email address that Lori was.

Does anyone have the link for the flowers that are offered in the Tropical Package? If you could send it either through private message or email it to me mw9956@gmail.com that would be great.

I was having many problems with the wedding department there. The lack of communication caused me to change to a different resort (Riu Montego Bay). I loved the pics that I saw of GPJ but the lack of communication with the wedding department was adding to my anxiety and the stress that goes into plannning a wedding. I thought the planning a DW was suppose to be less stressful but dealing with them was proving different. I actually had one of the coordinators tell me that she was not going to answer any questions from me until I confirmed and booked there (the nerve). I had nothing but good experiences with the Riu Montego Bay thus far. But I can't deny the fact that the GPJ appears to be nicer in pics than the RMB but at least I get answers : ).

Phylicia has been pretty good with me. I faxed her documentation (birth cert, passport, divorce papers) and she sent me an email confirmation the same day.

She also told me to go directly to Tai Flora to get the flowers I wanted....and every time I call her she answers the phone.

Hey everyone! I am getting married June 3 at the Grand Palladium and I am a little confused with the pricing. We are having around 40 guests and we chose the tropical package which costs $30 per person for any amount of guests over the 8 included in the package. We also want to rent the Blue Lagoon for a private reception. Last summer, Jascynthia gave me the impression that the Blue Lagoon would be $100 an hour. So I figured it would only cost $300 (for 3 hours) on top of our package price for the Blue Lagoon. Phylicia emailed me a couple of days ago saying it will be $45 per person on top of the $30 per person for a private reception. $75 per person seems really high to me. Has anyone received any other info about this? I am starting to get really worried.

I saved the email where they quoted the $100 an hour charge. Do you have anything stating the quote? If so, forward it to them. I am sure they will honor it. I have had one discrepancy in my planning due to the WC changes. They honored what the previous WC had stated after I presented the email. Good Luck.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
