Anyone having problems with Grand Palladium Jamaica?

Recommended Posts

oh my. I was married ther in August and I'm soo sad to hear they still haven't gotten things together. I think I ran into about 3 coordinators the whole time I was planning my wedding. But fortunately everything did turn out great. There were a few problems but they were all resolved. Wishing you the best of luck with planning your wedding at GPJ!!!

Thanks for the reviews I am really looking forward to seeing the resort, I have spoken to Nina on a few occassions looking forward to it. Ladies getting married in April or after this year what florist or photographer are you using for your wedding, what size weddings are you having?

I am using Sungold Associates. They have a lot of different options to pick from and their associates have pretty good rates. Paula is great and will work with your budget. I know they are shooting a lot of weddings here in the next couple months. We already have 50 people booked. Our travel agent booked us through Applevacations.com. They have great prices right now. The resort uses Tai Floral for flowers. From what I have seen so far they are expensive. I may end up going to a wholesale florist in the area and getting the flowers through them. I know each package comes with a couple flower choices but not many. If you want flowers for the reception you have to upgrade and the extra cost is a lot.

Hey guys I am in Jamaica now its beautiful the people are very friendly I will be meeting with Nina the wedding manager on Saturday to discuss things and look around. Thanks for the heads up I am also looking at Sungold or Michael Chen. Bye got to go will tell you about it when i get back. By the way my planner is great you ladies should do this bridesmaid service its an inexpensive planner that goes to the resort and finds out what is going on with your wedding takes onsite photos for u of the area checks with your wedding planner at the hotel every month she keeps them on their toes and its cheap. Before i came here she did all the ground work for me its great, she spoilt me at the airport. Tell u everything later Bye

Hi, My sister got married there this past June. She mentioned that she had trouble reaching the WC. HOwever, once we arrived three days before the wedding, the WC was at her beck and call. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and super romantic. The WC went above and beyond. My dad actually went back to the hotel to get more money to tip her. The only problem we had at the hotel was the swimming pool. All the tiles are coming up at we all cut our feet during the week. Just be careful.

But the main event, the wedding was so nice, I loved how they do their weddings!!!

From what everyone has said, it sounds like things work out when you get there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
