What a great question...I've often thought the same thing! FI is school so there's no work people from his side, but with me I think I'll only invite a few co-workers to the AHR. The ones I'll invite are the ones that I'm actually friends with outside work. I think everyone's different and you have to do what's best for your situation!

I only invited those who I was close too. I didn't invite my supervisors (I'm in grad school) only because 1) I'm not that close to them personally, and 2) It would be really weird if they came, lol! Of course they're both older men so I don't think that they care anyways.

I only invited two people I work with, one of them being my boss. She's pretty amazing and has been really good to me so she's coming! It was tough not inviting some of my co-workers. Looking back now, I probably would have invited those that I was close to. I doubt they would have come but it would have been nice to have them share a little part of the wedding, if only the invite.

I am really close with my boss/ co-workers but my guest list was already so big, i just decided to tell them it was only our closest friends and family.

They all understood.

But I think you have to go all or nothing with it. Like you cant just invite your boss and not your co-workers. JMO

I am a teacher and work with about 50 others. With our guestlist already over what we want, we are only inviting a select few. I work very closely with two educational assistants, and they are the only ones from my staff that I am inviting. My FI is also only inviting a few people. People seem to understand though.... I guess because it's DWhuh.gif

I know that my boss wont go and that 90% of my co-workers will not be able to get the time off to come to my DW. But I love them all. We are a small bunch that work in a clinc. About 16 of us. I see them all day everyday, we share everything with them so if there is a chance that a couple can go, I will invite them and have invited them all. I can totally understand if you work with tons of people then no I would not be inviting anyone from work unless they were a close friend like my co-workers.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
