Hi everyone,
I was wondering if any of you knew if you could bring your own mariage officiant (so the ceremony would be in english and not spanish), a friend for exemple. Is this permitted and is it legal in Dominican Republic. (If it helps, we are consering the Dreams Palm Beach and the Majestic Colonial)
Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can't if you want to make it legal. But if you were just doing a symbolic ceremony it would be ok.
A lot of places provide English speaking officiants though.

Thanks for that info. I think will go with a symbolic ceremony and jsut have a legal wedding in Canada before leaving for DR. Less stressfull I think.
Thanks again.

Pastor Rick York performs both symbolic and religious ceremonies in Punta Cana. He is conducting our symbolic wedding next month. We emailed him directly and he was great with responding to us!
