Hi all,

 

Thank you for your comments! We were concerned that a March destination wedding in Mexico (Cancun, Rivera Maya, etc.) would not be good considering they are popular spring break destinations. Has anyone had experience with this?

Congrats! Happy planning and welcome to the forum Melissa! We're not at an AI resort but we have a WC - wouldn't do it without one! I would imagine though that one is included at the Dreams, they'd help you with all of the local stuff. For travel arrangements though, a TA would be able to handle that.

Melissa, congratulations and welcome to the forum! You will find a lot of great info on here. As for the onsite WC, some resorts have them and some dont. We are getting married at the Aventura Spa in Riviera Maya and they have a WC onsite that will help with the big things (cake, decor, reception, etc...).

Are there any upcoming brides getting married at teh Excellence Riviera in the upcoming months?

My wedding is on May 7th and I've been working with the onsite WC but feel like as the day approches final decisions should be made. I'm wondering how far in advance before the wedding was everything finalized. Also, we are having a welcome dinner the night before the wedding at Agave, which the WC is also setting up for us. Do any of you know if there is an additional charge for this?

 

One final question, are you having a DJ for the reception? Our group is small, about 20, and I'm not sure if we need one. If we decide to use an ipod, does the resort have a docking station or do we have to bring our own?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
