My TA is stealing my thunder!!!

Don't get me wrong, I do think she had good intentions. But let's not go overboard here with praise because she's been terrible with everything up until this last 'good deed'. This isn't my biggest complaint about her, let's say it's the cherry on top. None of my guests are satisfied with her communication or initiative either...who knows these bags might win them over now.

I realize it's not the end of the world, but I've now wasted money on redundant items and that sucks. Why do I have to go out and change my OOT bags now? Oh well what's another couple hundred dollars on OOT stuff...

Basically it sucks since there's nothing that can be done about it, and I'm left feeling regrets of not organizing this group myself through Carnival. I thought a TA would be the easy route, and it's been nothing but a headache.

Well pretty soon this situation (and your wedding!) will be a distant memory so don't dwell on it for too long.

Remember what the bags are for in the first place, kwim? You're getting married! That should generate enough excitement to make the mishaps pretty trivial, at least they were for me and I was dealing with a lot more than an OOT bag crisis. Your wedding will be great no matter what ends up in the bags :)

So sorry to hear that you are stressed about this. Can you re-sell these items possibly? I'm sure that the TA did not mean to steal your thunder. IMHO...what the TA did was a nice touch...if you did not mention the other issues, I would have said that you had a fabulous TA and were a lucky girl. Still and all....although it was the TA that gave your guests these things...I'm sure it all reflects wonderfully on you too!!! Your guests will think both you and your TA are great!!

I hope that you can find something else to give your guests...this is just a minor bump on teh road to forever...hang in there.

My TA is awful too and i REALLY wish that i could have done all of the TA work myself, becasue truly, i almost have! Def a nice guesture for her to send those items to your guests, but she definitely should run that past her brides first! maybe you can try selling some of your stuff on this site? and even if you do give a duplicate, most people will prob forget the stuff the TA gave them at home! Try not to worry too much :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
