I won't know for you and Julie until I get them, and reship them. It will be the total for the Pash's, plus $6 for shipping and then the cost to re-ship to Canada. I will let you know as soon as I get them, hopefully today or tomorrow!

Hey Ann---- I just checked my Paypal. I really don't use it hardly at all, so apparently when I did the "add funds" to pull the money from my bank account to paypal, I didn't select the "instant transfer", so it's saying it can take 3-4 days for the transfer to complete. But the weird thing is that when I look at the transfer status, it shows "Complete", but the funds haven't moved from my bank account yet. So I'm assuming that means the request is complete and Paypal is waiting to get the funds from my bank.

I also did the "send money" and used the yahoo address we've been corresponding through. When I check the status on that, it says the money is "Unclaimed"... since you haven't been notified of the funds yet, maybe paypal is waiting to receive the money from my bank before they notify you?

Anyways, sorry this is taking longer than I thought--- I guess I should figure out Paypal before I try using it for stuff like this....

way to make it complex, Maria! just kidding. i just know that whenever i send someone money, all i do is "send money" (or whatever it says), and then enter an email. sounds like maybe you did it a little different? when did you do it - let me know when 2-3 days is up and i can let you know if/when i receive it.

That's the exact same way I did it too---- I clicked the "Send Money" tab, then put in the email address and dollar amount. But now it's saying 2-3 days...

I did all this on saturday afternoon.... so maybe Tuesday or Wednesday you should know something? If it isn't showing as a pending transaction on my bank account tomorrow afternoon, I'll call the bank and see if they have received the request for funds from paypal...

It'd be so much cheaper for Ann to re-ship out to you and Courtney...

In fact, if you go to the UPS website, you can get an idea of what shipping charges will be.... That's how I estimated whether it would be cheaper to have Ann ship them all, or just select ones. Sometimes it's a pain in the ass to figure out tho because you have to look up what zone you are in, as well as the shipper, and then compare that to their zone shipping rates... I'm used to it from work, so it wasn't a big deal to figure some charges using DHL or UPS...
So, I got the Canada girls (Julie and Courtney) Pashminas today ... yippie. I will just give you each one of the freebies - do you have a preference on color? One is more the burgandy/red/fushcia colors, the other is more bronze/brown/gold colors. Let me know - otherwise I will just give you each one.

However, I am freaking out a little bit on shipping costs. I was about to head out to ship them - but I decided to go to DHL and UPS to estimate cost - and YOWSERS! It was anywhere from $80-120. Can this be right? The package I got says $20.7 pounds - so I put the weight in to estimate at 10 lbs, since you each get about 1/2 the order. There is a UPS 1 block away - so I can always run over there just to be sure that's an accurate estimate - but I wanted to check here first to see if that sounded right to you all. Maybe that is what you all expected! Not sure I did ... lol

Ann, not sure about shipping, but I think Jules might live kind of close to the border? I thought i read something in a post about her going shopping in WA and if there's someone on the forum who lives close to where she comes across, then maybe we can ship to them and Jules could pick them up and take them back into Canada and ship to Courtney from there....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
