JayBee thanks for the tips. For these and so many other reasons we decided to stick with booking at the resort. I am pretty impressed with all of the hassle-freeness so far. We decided to keepthat our booze budget at $2,000 period. We're doing this by setting up with our coordinator that we will have an open bar and cap at that amount, at which time it will be a cash bar. All in all we are doing a $200/pp budget which we hear is average for the resort at least. Their range is between 180 and 220. Has anybody been to teh St. Regis recently or going there soon and might send more pics? Their site is very short on the pics.

My FI and I are planning to go have drinks with the "young people" at the St Regis one evening around sunset. There's supposed to be a bar with an amazing view over Hanalei Bay. It's not set in stone, but something I'd like to do. If we end up there, I'm sure we'll take pics. I'll forward them on.

We had a private tasting with him on our recent visit and the food was some of the best I have ever tasted. He was very professional and extremely helpful. We had organised the wedding catering services with Food Perfected Catering. The food was awesome the buffet includes cocktail, a buffet with 2 meats and 3 veg, & dessert for affordable price.

Since most of you have had your weddings now do you have any followup about your caterer?  Contemporary Flavours was recommended by our wedding coordinator but the quote made me feel like we were being nickeled and dimed too.
