thanks tammycheesy.gif

you are right- she messed up with me too and i asked her like a million times if it was per hour OR per night (knowing that she meant it was $150/hour)- and she emailed me saying it was $150 per night charge- so i am printing off all my records and bringing them because i know i will probably get charged per hour! i am prepared to fight for my money!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone!

I know you are all skared about DJ´s down in Cabo I have recommended DJ Mijares and so far my clients have had no problems with him, and at the end they are very happy, he will send you his Dj file with the list of songs he usually plays, also in case some of the song you like are not in the file you can tell him and he will have them ready for you.

He is very professional and works with very important hotels, wedding companies, and wedding planner in Los Cabos area.

He can also get you all the equipment to conect your IPOD the price includes

2 JBL EON G2 speakers 400 wats in each canal

1 neomark IDJ2 mixer to conect the IPOD

1 cordless microphone

1 person service that will be there during the event to check the equipment, control the volume, etc .

I can guaranty your IPOD will sound like a real DJ.

You can contact him at djmijaress@prodigy.net.mx

  • 1 month later...

im going to digress back to bringing your own speakers - can we do that without being charged or do you have to pay a fee (kind of like a wine corking fee in a restaurantmsnwink.gif ) in order to be able to use your own stuff. are those of you who are doing this (or did this - i think this thread is pretty old!) having a private reception and therefore already have an area set aside for everyone to dance and so forth. at some places they charge for a dancefloor - anyone know exactly how it works at moon palace for example?

My FI got the BOSE sound-dock for x-mas and we are taking it down to use for our reception. We are still not sure if we are going to have dancing (since we are having a smaller group) or if we are going to just use it for background music. It can be really loud if you turn it up and I think it will work out great....

Sarah, I've heard that Bose docking station is phenomenal, thats what I want to get. we are having a smaller group as well and thats part of the reason I don't see the need for a DJ. So, if you are bringing your own stereo and IPOD are you going to have to pay any fees for that. I know they charge a fee if you use their setup, but it sounds like you're using only your stuff, is that correct? Are you renting a microphone? Sorry for all the questions!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
