BB- I had messages from Ana for a while, but now it's mainly Lisbeth. The photos I have of cakes and what not aren't even from the planners at Punta Cana, and are instead from Riveria Maya. I don't think Lisbeth understands my questions 100% and I'm worried she'll be my planner and I'll get down there and everything will be you know whatted up!

You and Benny make a BEAUTIFUL couple. I am sure everyone has said this, but you can really see the love you have for one another in your photos.

8phoneix- polar opposite? Did everything go okay? Did something bad happen?

BB-

Thanks so much for you review, I am sooo excited for my own wedding, but a little concerned cuz they keep switching my wedding coordinator. First it was ana then mercy now back to ana and lisbeth. It sounds like they are all amazing so I am not too worried. A couple questions-who were your outside vendors? I am pretty much going with whatever the resort is provding except Pastor York (thanks by the way for telling me about him) and DJ Mannia. Did you give DJ Mannia a playlist or just let him do his magic? and how long did he play for? I know me and you were aggravated cuz you cant really have the wedding go longer than 10pm at the pool. But after reading your review and seeing some pictures, I love having the reception at the pool. I still have alot of questions that I hope you dont mind me asking. I will flood you with more later :). Thanks again! Your wedding looked amazing.

Our outside vendors were the photographer, the videographer and Rick York. DJ Mannia is actually a hotel vendor. When we first asked about the DJ they gave us someone else and then closer to our date this is who they sent us. I wrote a lot about DJ Mannia on the thread someone else started as a review. Carlos was the last person we met with and we were over sitting in meetings so we literally spent 10 minutes with him. We gave a CD of music for entrance, dance, cake, last dance. We told him we wanted top 40, a little hip hop, some house, meregue and salsa. We told a few artists and that was it. He did the rest.

It did stink that we had to end at 10 but it was so hot and we were drenched that everyone showered and met at the Disco at 11 and danced until 1 there. We had about 2 hours of dancing at the reception because we asked them to move through dinner quickly.

Happy to answer other questions

Merry Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa to everyone! I know it's late- but better late than never, right?? lol

BB- if you could send me all the files you have, it would help. I'm getting lost in the shuffle I think. They've switched up my coordinator on me a couple of times now, so I don't know who I'll get. Also, if I could ask, how much did DJ Mania set you back? When I went to the website link that was in the review, it listed the company in Mexico I think. I wasn't sure if I misread it, if they travel, or if it was another company. We're considering a DJ but aren't sure if the budget and guest list really need/warrant it.

I can not wait! I am SO excited!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
