Here are some resorts I looked at: Azul Sensatori, Aventura Spa/Cove Palace (they have a family and adults only side), any of the Palace resorts, Excellence, Secrets resorts...there are tons!!! I was SO indecisive about my resort.

You can perform a search on this forum and find pretty much anything you need to know. Also, you can look on Trip Advisor and search "Riviera Maya" to give you a list of the resorts. Hope this helps!! Good luck!

Wherever you go, make sure you look at the prices of wedding packages before you decide on a resort. Even though you are going to an all inclusive, the prices for things like champagne toasts, beach receptions, etc can be HUGE. Our resort wants $20 US for a toast!! it's a little annoying, the way they rip you off

Good luck though, it'll be a blast no matter where you go

I would recommend where I got married! :)

The Gran Bahia Principe was a perfect fit for our guests and it is usually very reasonably priced.

all inclusive - Indeed! I LOVED the food! Yummy

all ages - We had children with us, actually two babies who were 1 1/2 years old and they LOVED it. The pools actually have a shallow area that they could sit and play in. It was perfect! In addition, they have a kids area and lots of animation staff that love children! It really was prefect for the kids.

beach wedding (actually on the sand) - My feet were IN the sand during my wedding! It was amazing! And it wasn't a swimmable portion of the beach, so there were NO bikini clad people staring at me and in all of my photos. Instead it was on the beach with the beautiful blue water crashing on the rocks in front of us. Perfect, if you ask me :)

around $1500-$1600 for couple 4 days - The GBP is typically around this price including airfare. There are three resorts, (Tulum, Akumal, Coba), and Coba tends to be the cheapest because it's NOT on the beach, however you can use the facilities at all three, so it's not a big deal.

There are so many great resorts on the Riviera Maya that would fit the bill! If the price is really important, maybe you should talk to a travel agent. They could probably narrow it down to the ones in that price range. Once you have a short list you could check out all the reviews and photos to see which one you like the bestcheers.gif

There are SO MANY great resorts to choose from so I agree that you need to consider the cost of the wedding in addition to the cost of the actual stay at the resort. Some places can really add up, especially depending on how many guests you are planning to have.

Since there are so many choices, you will either need to really narrow down what you want and don't want (i.e. location, size of resort, restaurant options, wedding facilities, etc, etc). Or maybe you will just see one and fall in love - that would make things so much easier right?! I struggled with my choices for what seemed like a freaking eternity! So hopefully your decision will be easier :)

If you are looking for a family friendly resort, Dreams has a great reputation for holding fantastic weddings (and being a great place to stay!). Also, as other posters have mentioned, I've heard good things about the Gran Bahia Principe.

Good Luck!!!

That happened for me! I saw a resort and fell in love! Then I saw another resort...and fell in love...then another resort...and another...

(No I haven't made a decision on my own resort, but Yes, I will totally offer other people advice!) humble.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
