I wanted to include a pre-rsvp response card with my STDs so that I can (hopefully!) get an idea of how many guests would like to come. So, pocketfold STDs were the way to go for me :)

But, being the creative type, I wanted something unique and my own design. I used 12X12 scrapbooking paper, ribbon, some great scrapbooking tools and my time & patience to create these.

I bought the pocketfold supplies at 25-50% off from Michaels and a local scrapbooking store. Also, being a graphic designer, I have contacts in the printing industry who were only more than happy to print the actual STDs and RSVP cards for me... for free!!

I saved alot of money doing these myself. My STDs only cost me roughly $.75 each to create. That includes the supplies, envelopes, glue, and taxes. It does not include the cost for stamps or some of the large scrapbooking tools that I already had or use for other crafting.

This is the Pocketfold, all folded up. I used my silhouhette sd paper cutter to cut the starfish shape out of scrapbooking paper and vecro dots as a clasp. I also used a fiskars corner cutter to make the 'rounded' edges on the flap. The tiffany blue ribbon I got at Michaels.

Pocketfold all opened up. The pre-rsvp and a return envelope are in the pocket.

STD card up close. I did say I would follow with a formal invitation, but, we'll see. In hindsight I don't really see the point in sending an invite if most people will book the trip before I even send them out!

Inside of Pre-RSVP. I asked for their response, how many people are coming with them (bringing the kids?), their email address, a chance to ask for stuff to be mailed to them (instead of email), and a comment box.

Back of Pre-RSVP. I left a space so that I can write the guest's name on the back so I know who is RSVPing.

Thanks for checking out my STDs! Below are some links for those who are interested in my tools and supplies:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
