    Just venting

My fiance and I have been searching for a home for about a good 6 months. It is such a frustrating process....Esp when we have somewhat of a time period. For first time buyers we get around 8,000 back in taxes if we purchase a house before April. That does not leave us enough time..or if there is time...where are the houses?!?!?

You can buy my condo! My fiance and I are trying to sell both of our condos and then buy a house! AND planning a wedding! I feel your pain.

Some websites that I have been addicted to lately are:
Homes for sale and apartments for rent ? Move.com
        BlockShopper - Welcome
Real Estate, Homes for Sale & Real Estate Values - Zillow
        They provide really good inforamtion.
Bride & Groom plus 86 booked!!!

Thanks..I have searched n searched the internet. The housing market is suppose to be on the buyers side...but I do not see that much of a difference.
PLUS-it seems like every house we look at, there is always a catch.

          sigh sigh!

I hear you on that one! Except i dont think FI and I will be able to buy a house before April... I know wishful thinking but i hope the re extend the tax credit again.... =(

Good luck in your search I know what you mean about the current house market, honestly, have you spoken to a realtor? We were investigating realtors in NY Queens area that also worked with LI for us to help our search. We tried for about a year on our own and honestly have come to the conclusion that with the help of a realtor its much less stressful. HtH

Wow, did they extend the tax credit? That's awesome if they did. We spent a good 6 months & looking at about 100 houses before we bought ours. My advice, be patient and don't settle.
