What I would and wouldn't do again...

Recommended Posts

So happy that I found this thread!  Many of you have said that you are glad that you did the OOT bags but not many people have mentioned what they put in them that was so great.  I really want to add useful items but I don't want to spend a ton either.  I'm also trying to make it to Mexico with out 6 bags of luggage!

I did it! I read all 67 pages, and I want to say, THANK YOU. I can already feel myself stressing over the simplicity of the dresses I am looking at online... and then I read about so many brides who are happy that they had a simple one. The biggest thing is hearing all the complainers and whiners and feeling bullied about people trying to talk me out of a DW.... thank you so much to all those who said that it was the best decision, and not to stress about other people!

It helps so much going forward, and I just have to remind myself of that over and over again throughout the next (nearly) two years. Thanks so much!

Hi kthun,

Try checking out the following thread to get some ideas on what people thought were good or bad additions to the OOT bags:

Good luck! It's hard not to go crazy on the OOT bags when there are so many cute ideas out here!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
