Does anyone else turn into a weepy sap when their fiance/husband goes out of town?

MY FI travels quite a bit and of course, I miss him when he's gone, however, we work together and even ride together, therefore, I don't really have a lot of time to myself. I take advantage of his away time to do just what I want to do. He just got back this morning (2 am). I tell you, I think I'm marrying a crazy man LOL. He decided to buy a new car - in Chicago - and we live in Dallas. I thought it was bad enough that he was flying there and driving it all the way back by himself - but it got worse. He decided to trade his in. So, he took off on Monday morning and drove straight through to Chicago - 16 hours. He spent the night, got the new car and headed back to Dallas yesterday. He was supposed to have stopped and spent the night, but he didn't. He scared the haydees out of me when he came in, but I was so thankful to see him home safely. BTW, the car is beautiful and he's really proud of it.

But when I'm away, traveling for business, I am fine. I think I just fill the void with shopping! lol
I agree, it is completely different when YOU are the one out of town.

on a normal night or weekend, we just do our own thing. We both like space. But when he is gone I sort of fall apart. It took me a while to notice the pattern. I get super messy, eat weird stuff & can't sleep. I also tend to get wrapped up in a ridiculous project. Now that I know that's how I get when he is gone, it doesn't bother me so much. The time apart is worth it for that first warm hug. I call it the "airport hug" but it can happen after a car trip, too.

Last year my FI moved to Boston for school and I stayed in Toronto because of my job and it SUCKED so much. But in the end I kind of got used to it, so now it doesn't bother me if we are apart. He's actually going to Australia for 3 weeks in January and I can't go because I have to work...so I will be sad, but mostly just that I don't get to go to Australia I think!!!

I found I just had to stay busy and always have stuff planned to see friends, mani/pedis definitely, and just have stuff to do, and you know you will see him again so enjoy some time to yourself!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
