I think a lot of us out there feel that way! It's like it's something you HAVE to do, even though for many of us it's not our style or doesn't fit our budget or we'd rather be creative in other ways.

It's almost taboo, isn't it, to say you don't want to do them?

In our case, our families would end up throwing most of it away, so we'd much rather put the money into something they will remember, like sailing!

I understand with 30 guests the cost adds up. I am doing an OOT bag per room/and or couple. I will have a few single people, but I do not think that I will have that many people at my wedding. I am definetly on a budget and I must start buying a little at a time. Good Luck! Remember - Have fun. Don't sweat the small stuff.

We're also doing a charity donation to the American Cancer Society instead of favors. I've had to travel for a lot of my friends weddings because they all got married in Boston this summer right after my fiance and moved to Texas...and quite honestly, I felt terrible but the favors always ended up in the hotel room trash can (except the edible ones)...I probably shouldn't have just admitted that hahaha
Hi Lilly129! Could you please share where you're getting your truffles? I was thinking the same thing, getting some Mexican chocolate or coffee or something along those lines.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
