Wine @ Dreams?

Shoot, I cant remember the name of the house wine.

But it was def drinkable. I wouldnt go buy cases of it, but I sure drank plenty of it there and didnt hear any complaints. Most of the male guests in our group are scotch drinkers tho.

Alot of the females who normally drink red, drank white but because of the warm temps and array of seafood.

We found the white and red house wine to be pretty decent. Like Erika mentioned, it wasn't incredible or anything but definitely good enough to drink. We also mainly drank red (a)because it was warm, (b)lots of seafood and ©the wine was super chilled so it kind of masked the "non-amazing" taste :)

Like you Tammy, we're from San Francisco, so our guests are used to *very* nice wine, and I'm just wondering for the reception only if it would then be worth it to upgrade to something nicer. Any idea about cost? What about a champagne toast? I can imagine that the champagne is not so tasty?

This is just my opinion...but stay away from the house red and white wine at Dreams unless you are itching to have a hangover the next morning. I'm not a wine enthusiast either...but it was nasty. I think your best bet would be to pay and upgrade for the better quality wines on their menu (which I did hear from our wine enthusiasts was decent) or skip the wine altogether and enjoy the mixed drinks (which I highly recommend!)

  • 3 weeks later...

I mentioned this thread to my mom and now she is convinced we should upgrade the wines. Probably mostly for her benefit, but most of our family will drink wine so she feels its important. Also she told me she'd pay for it!

Before I contact Mariana just wondering if anyone has any info on the prices and what the choices are?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
