Talked with the FI about this last night...he said almost exactly what you  just said. lol. Regular room and if we get it, we get it. It really is quite a bit more, I checked again yesterday. If we get it great, if not, we will still have a great time. :-)

I would really LOVE to have that room for getting ready pics - but I can live without it :)

If we get to the hotel and we can negotiate something - great....if not, we will live :)

Alicia - I am so excited to do the OOT bags and I plan on doing what you are doing. Focusing more on the insulated mugs and keyhoders than anything. About how much are those bubba kegs?? I am interested in using those over anything else.

alittlerandr - Love the drawstring bag idea, I found some on abcdistrubuting.com but they were all girly, i should order some though at least for the girls I know that are going.

I want to start looking at items on clearance for these bags but I really have no idea what the guest count would be. Once I have a better idea I will start buying more items. Thank you for the Vistaprint suggetion for the brochure, I am going to check that out too.

I'm in the same situation....would love to get a head start on the OOT bags, but I really have no idea how many people we will have.  For now, I'm just trying to find deals for the hangover/first aid stuff....at least with those if I have too many, it's not a huge deal.

I totally wish I had a better idea of our number of guests so I could start actually buying some of this stuff NOW :) haha.

Hey :)

So the Bubba Kegs vary in price. You're lucky that you're in the US actually as I think at Walmart you can get great deals on them! They are about 5 bucks each or so I believe......the trick is that if you are wanting one colour specifically it can involve shopping around at several stores.....for us Walmart doesn't really stock them the same as the US so we rely on Canadian Tire....and they are expensive....but I watch the sales...

If I don't end up being able to find them on sale between now and closer to the wedding I think I will order them from the online wholesaler. You can always order whatever quantity you need in whatever colours they have, so that is nice. Shipping within the USA is cheap too - another bonus for you US ladies :) I'll be having them shipped to a friend and driving them across the border if I do go this route :)

I think I may do the same! If I order 50 of everything, I should be safe, and as long as I only order the more inexpensive things for now, having a few extras won't be a huge deal.

Hey Ladies!

Just thought I'd share a great deal for those looking to make luggage tags/key holders.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Vertical-Transparent-Plastic-Card-ID-Badge-Holders-Zip-Lock-Top-P7-100-/110845414765#vi-content

$19.99 US for 100 holders... Unfortunately they only ship to the US. Luckily my gf lives in Jersey and was sweet enough to purchase it and will bring it up with her when she visits sometime this month. :D

Hopefully some of you guys can take advantage of this deal, as i've seen some that are more on the expensive side.

Happy Planning!!

Jade

I don't have them yet, still looking! Trying to find a decent deal on some, even though I know they will be the costly item, from what I hear they are the biggest hit!

Good Morning Alicia! :-)

That is great to know about the bubba kegs. I will have to go check out the Walmarts around me, I did not know they carried them. I really have no color preference if I can find them all.

OOT BAG question: What size bag are you looking to get? I have seen some pretty big beach type bags on here that are really nice (the cotton canvas ones) but I have yet to find any that are not expensive.

Side note: I didn't know shipping to Canada was that big of a difference...I know it is another country but it must be because it is faster for me to go to Canada than any other state! I used to go to Windsor all of the time or sometimes Sarnia too. It takes me less time to get to either of those places in Canada than the states surrounding MI. LOL!

    • Hi Brides! I have a Wally Bag - 66" available - $90 + shipping (US only) The wally bag typically sells for $120-$180. I used this gown bag once to transport my dress from MN to Mexico for our wedding - IT WAS PERFECT!   I was actually able to pack 4 additional maxi dresses, and my husband's wedding attire, plus a few pairs of shoes and some jewelry. I packed the dress the night before we left, and just moments before we left, I zipped the bag and folded it - ready for travel. It comes up with a nice over-the-shoulder strap, making it really easy to carry through the airports. No issues on Delta with the bag as my carry-on - I chose to put in the overhead bin, but the flight attendant did offer to hang it in the closet for me. Once we got to the resort, about 10 hours after I first folded the bag, I unpacked the bag and my dress was perfect - no wrinkles! My dress was mostly lace and had a bit of a train, but it arrived perfectly!  Honestly, this is the best way to travel with your dress!
