Ocean Blue & Sand-Punta Cana

Recommended Posts

I will also say, that I just got back from my SIL's wedding at Dreams Punta Cana, and although that resort was really nice, I liked OB way better. The layout is just so much better, with all the restaraunts in one place, and especially the shuttle buggy were definate plusses for OB.

Hey ladies!!! My fiance and I are getting married in Punta Cana next March and Ocean Blue has made it to our top 3. I was reading the reviews on trip advisor and they were making me a little nervous but everyone on here seems very positive about it! ANY information anyone can share would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!

I have looked at Trip Advisor as well for many resorts I was interested in and came to the following conclusion: people will be more likely to post when they have something to complain about then when the have a great stay. I wouldn't let the Trip Advisor reviews sway your opinions on each resort. I would definitely ask people who have been there before about their experiences. Also, if you have a travel agent, I am sure they will be able to help you as well! Good luck!

Hi there,

I just switched from dreams Palm Beach to Ocean Sands because dreams was too expensive and my guests wouldn't pay. Ocean Sands was my second choice and I got a great rate through ITravel 2000's group coordinator. We are paying out of Ottawa:
$1520 double occupancy, junior suite
$230 taxes
Everything else is pretty much the same as above except my guests have to pay in full by October 17, 2010.

The wedding coordinator and my TA have been great getting things switched over.
Looking forward to planning with other Ocean Brides!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
