Palace Resorts - Sapphire package

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have chosen the Sapphire wedding package for our wedding and I'm wanting to know if there are any brides that got married at one of the palace resorts that picked the Sapphire package as well? I'm trying to get an idea of what the wedding will look like and wanted to see if anyone had pictures?

If so, could you post some pictures of what the gazebo looked like and the decorations?

Any help is welcomed!

Cristi,

I too am a Moon Palace bride to be...but doing the free package and adding on from there. I am not sure about the Saphire package...but wanted to direct you to a review that Cutierosie did a while back. She spoke about the different packages and posted great photos of her entire wedding. Good luck in your planning!

We like the idea of the Sapphire. Everyone keeps talking about adding onto the free package. We have only seen a small list of optional extras, like dvd, photos, flowers etc. However one bride that got married at MP Dec 09 states that she brought the beach decorations - sashes etc seperate as an extra. I have been to the MP, checked the internet and liased with wedding co-ordinators at MP there seems to be no option now to do this. One of my concerns was that if we had the free package then the beach dec's would be white/ cheap - boring.

Hi, Christi. I am also an Aventura Palace bride who also chose the Sapphire package, great minds think alike, LOL. My wedding is a month right before yours and I'm starting to get antsy about everything.

I have been in contact with Dulce regarding decor and such and she has been able to send me a couple of PDF files showing pictures of the options they have to offer. Who's your WC? Also, are you having it on the adult side of the resort? I have a couple of kids attending, so I'll be over at the Cove side.

Dulce is my coordinator as well! Actually I just decided to change to the free package and add on. I have seen pictures of weddings that picked the free package and it still looks pretty. I figured I can use the money for something else and most likely have a private function. Also I wanted to do something different with the wedding colors and wanted more options for the flower selections.

We are getting married on the Cove side since I heard that it is a lot nicer. We also might have a couple of people that are under 18 that attend so that is why we picked that side as well.

I cant wait and ready to get married and be on vacation!

I chose the sapphire package as well. I think it looks beautiful! The reason there are no pictures yet is because it just started being offered in 2010 so all of the previous brides are under the old different packages.

Nuttytart- did the coordinators tell you that you would not be able to bring the sashes and table runners? I was planning for the reception to bring my own decorations like MrsEddy, but for the reception not the ceremony.

Lily17Bear- could you please post the files that she sent you? The only file I have gotten is the one with the choices of packages, I have not gotten any that are Sapphire specific.

I love the way it looks with the shells and blue flowers. I am getting married at the Moon Palace in the Toucan Gazebo, but I am sure it is the same at all the palace resorts! I cannot wait!

I did the free and added onto the wedding package-- I went super cheap though and added on just the videographer (worth every single penny of them), a 2 layer cake and the horse and carriage. I was fine with it looking a little bland because the backdrop on the beach was beautiful! I brought my own bouquet and they seperated my free one into the two that you see at the bottom of the tables-- the wind kept blowing them off Click the image to open in full size.

Oh wow Brooke....they let you seperate the free bouquet into arrangements? That is a very clever idea and one I had not thought about. I had basically thought I was giving it up by bringing my own bouquet! THANK YOU for sharing that thout...I can't wait to see your review and any other great ideas you had!!!

Hi Ladies, its been a while since everyone has posted on this, and I know some of you chose the Sapphire package. I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of their weddings, and how did you like the package? I have also chosen the Sapphire package, and getting married this May at Aventura Cove palace. If anyone has any feedback about the Cove or the Sapphire package, I would appreciate it!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
