Paradisus Punta Cana Beach ceremony

Recommended Posts

I am getting married at PPC in January. Not sure if it is the busy season but am a bit concerned about my beach ceremony having close beachcombers.

I heard some stories of unappealing vacationers in many photos in the background and hoots and hollers during the ceremony itself. Anyone know more about this?

Where on the beach do they perform the ceremony? are people free to walk around? Would it be possible to ask to block off that part of the beach for the 15 minutes?

It is a public beach and you most likely will have topless ladies and men in Speedos both walking by and stopping to watch the ceremony. They will not block off an area of the beach other than the aisle and where the guest chairs and table for document signing is.

We were married in the gazebo at PPC and beachcombers did come up to watch our ceremony - but we had a bit more of a buffer at the gazebo and only have boobs and speedos in pics that our guests took on purpose.

I hate to say it but there is no way around it, really.

I have also voiced this concern to Teresa (PPR romantic specialist) and she said that the best is to book your ceremony after 4pm so that by then many of the beachcombers have left to get ready for dinner and what not.

And she assured me that they will have the WC and assistant there the whole time to

make sure they keep the lingerers under supervision to not disturb our ceremony.

I think that's the best they can do.

In PPC, the beach gazebo area is a bit razed and a bit away from the actual beach. You won't really have anyone visible in the background. If your photographer has good lenses,he/she will be also able to blur the background just in case.

However, if you will decide to go to the beach area for photos then be prepared for a lot of attention. Half naked individuals like to stop and look at you, while photographer is taking pictures :)

with it being the beach there will be topless ladies and people having fun there.i think people are interested in weddings and gather around to see.all i can say is you wont be interested what people are doing as you will be doing the cermony.and the photograher should be experienced to try and not get naked ladies in your wedding pics.but i would just warn him if it would make you feel better.

i depends on how much the beach ceremony means to you.but i think you will be fine.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
