Okaaaaay... so call me crazy, and I probably am, but I'm going to go ahead and assume y'all aren't axe murderers or anything and volunteer to have a BDW get together at my place!-) Maybe? :-) Unless everyone thinks that's weird... then we can meet somewhere else:-)

But I thought we could have a fun night of drinks, food and rock band! rockon.gif

And if ddk5576 lets us know when exactly she'll be here, we can plan for maybe March..?

I know, I know...who knows where and what we'll all be doing in March...but just though I'd gauge the enthusiasm/lack-of :-)

I think that would be great!! We should know more by January, concerning our move date. The plan so far is to get him there and meet a property manager that can give him a list of homes that he can then bring home and we can narrow down the possibilities. Then I will go up a week later and we will knock out the houses and hopefully find one that weekend. I in the meantime will be packing up some of the necessities, so we can rent a uhaul type trailer & load it up and pull it behind the Audi while we transport our 3 labs across country - Whew, that is going to be a journey in itself!!! So, I will definitely need several drinks after we get settled!!!

I will keep everyone informed as I know more! Yey!! Having you all here has definitely taken a lot of stress off of me with the move. I have been in SC since 1988 from FL. As I am super stoked for the move, it is scary too! Having a great support system with my FI (he is the greatest) and you lovely ladies, this transition should be smooth!! Thank you ALL!! wink.gif

Hope you all have had a great week so far! TTYS! :)

So I've never been to SC but I've grown up here in BC. You'll love Vancouver! It really is as laid back as people say. The scenery is amazing and there's just so much diversity, I hope you enjoy your time here!

I live in White Rock also, but work in Vancouver (Personal Training in Yaletown) and the waterfront is gorgeous down there.

Hopefully you miss the colder months when you move up, but don't worry it's not as cold as the rest of the country!

Talk again soon,

Jenn

For sure -- there's nothing I love more than having cocktails...except having cocktails PLUS planning something BDW related, haha:-)

And we'd love to share! (of course, I'm speaking for Natalia, but I'm sure she's say the same:-))

So, maybe I'll start a new thread in a couple weeks in the section for get-togethers and we can start organizing a date and how many peeps etc!:-)

  • 2 weeks later...

You all bring such smiles to my face!!

I have now been somewhat informed as to the project starting up in mid April for him. This still doesn't give ME a clue on when I will be flying there to check things out. I am just super excited to meet you all...and as Simistar said, "...having cocktails"!! Hope you ALL have a great New Year! TTYS!! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
