Well here we go… one of my favorite parts of BDW and I can’t believe it is actually my turn to post a planning thread. The past year has absolutely flown by and I truly wouldn’t have half of the cute ideas if it wasn’t for this forum. Special shout outs to the ladies of the Dreams PV thread, December 2009 thread and the SB! Luv y’all!

 

 

So the engagement happened while we were gallivanting around Europe on a Contiki trip last New Years. 2 other couples had gotten engaged on the trip and everyone was giving Brett a hard time about when we he was going to pop the question. He was so adamant that he had no intentions of ever being married that he actually brought me to tears. Well then on New Years in front of the Eiffel Tower he popped the question. Crazy boy :o)

I originally wanted a wedding in Texas where I grew up and where my family is, but couldn’t find anything within a reasonable budget that felt like us. So we opted for a DW.

We both only have brothers and decided to just have them stand with us at the ceremony. My 2 brothers are my Honor Attendants and FI’s brother is the Best Man.

I want gerbera daisies, lilies and green poms as the flowers. I have the pearls that my mom wrapped on her bouquet as well as 3 memory frames of my 2 grandmas and one great aunt. They really were a big part of my life and it feels great to know they will be there watching.

We leave in the morning and there is no way I am sleeping tonight. There are probably a ton of items that I am leaving out, but I’m just so excited to see all of my friends and family and finally marry my best friend. If you made it to the end I hope you enjoyed my planning thread :o)

Aut! Oh my gosh everything is amazing! Love love love your STD and bracelet (where did you get your bracelet?)!

 

Also did you get the last white bathing suit from beach bunny swimwear and is it as cute in person as it is online??! I totes want to get it! I have had my eye on it for a few months!

 

SO happy for you!!! I cant believe your big day is here! have a blast and thanks for sharing everything!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
