Walking Down the Isle Alone?

Recommended Posts

Any destination brides walking down the isle alone?

My dad can't come. I have 2 brothers coming but I can't decide which one

to ask to walk me down, so I'm thinking about going it alone.

I've also considered have my hubby to be's daughter walk with me, but

is that too corny?

Any ideas?

I don't have a father to walk me, my brother is still on the fence about going. I do have a 20 year old son that will be there, however I have been married before and walked down the aisle and given away so to speak. I feel thats re-gifting or something just not right about it.

Our idea is FI will stand at the Gazebo/Alter and when I arrive the music will start and he will walk down the aisle to me, take my arm and walk together. My thoughts are he asked me to go down this road with him and he should be the one to walk with me to begin this journey. maybe corny too but i am very happy with our plan.... Good luck... it's doesn't matter how you get there as long a you do. Oh and say "I do" hehehehe

Thats a great idea SusieQ, never looked at it that way before. I am having my 2 kids 22 & 24 walk with me down the aisle.

SANDYandRON, why don't you ask both your brothers to walk you down the aisle!

I think it's completely up to you, you can choose to have whoever you want to walk you down the aisle. I'm hoping my dad will be there but he still says he won't be coming because he refuses to go to Mexico - so I'm hoping before the big day he'll get over himself and just go otherwise I'll be alone.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
