Hi, I apologize for taking so long to respond; I've been a little busy packing to move. To clear things up a bit, I actually didn't book the resort for all of my guests. I spoke to the owner himself (since all calls are forwarded to his home on the weekends and I'm busy during the week) and we made our own deal/contract. He is VERY easy going and willing to help you out in any way. We came to the conclusion that I would make a major deposit on just my room and he would hold the entire resort for me until around February 2010. If my guests start calling in early February to make their 10% deposit on their rooms (the rest is due 30 days before the wedding) they will still hold the resort & reassess everything again in March to see if I will still need all of the rooms.

They are very quick! Kim, who is in charge of reservations drafted up my contract and broke down every single payment per person, per room, etc so that I can pass it on to my guests. Everything was so well done and I am so impressed.

The wedding coordinator, Kerry also contacted me. She is also very thorough and willing to help. We are working together so well and everything is ging smoothly.

I am VERY happy with this decision to choose Moon Dance Cliffs and I am so excited about the wedding!!

Yes, they are but they just made it clear that the resort on the cliffs and parents need to be paying attention to their children. My youngest brother is 10 so we had to work out some type of deal so he could be there.

The staff here is just wonderful. Each villa has a butler and ours (Ken) is on the patio now setting up for our dinner this evening. Also, the view from the gazebo is spectacular.
I am so sorry we are leaving tomorrow morning because it has been a pleasure staying at MDC.
Thank you so much for that. I'm sure you had a lot of fun. I can't wait. I am Jamaican (but now live in the US) so I know most of the resort there. This one is so new and I know exactly where it is so I know it has to be awesome.

Hello Moon Dance Cliffs brides :) Does anyone know if there is an area other than the gazebo that you can get married at there? Like where they set up the reception maybe? Also, for those who weren't able to fill the whole resort with your own guests, were there onlookers from the pool during your ceremony? Or did the hotel block off the area or something?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
