hey Jean,

welcome to the site. and congrats on your upcoming wedding.

Moon Palace was our first choice...however being from the Uk, it was a little out of our guests' price range if we wanted anyone to come with us!!

Enjoy! and happy planning.

Congrats! I just got married at the Moon Palace and it was so awesome. Great Pick.. The people there are very helpful.. our wedding coordinator was Rosy Lily Sanchez she was very prompt on answering emails and we emailed back and forth for a year.. She made our wedding a fairy tale.. They treated us like a King and Queen..

Congratulations on your fairy tale wedding! We too were assigned Lily and she has been very prompt in returning emails. This is my third go marriage (no laughing)....but my first wedding ever. My 9 year old is coming with us and we are so excited. As a working mother of three who has lived everyday to take care of other people....I am so looking forward to having someone take care of me while we are in Mexico. So wonderful to hear that Lily may do just that!

Thanks much and I hope to read a review of your wedding sometime soon!

Moon Palace's wedding packages can be found at the link below.

Also, you can look up availability for weddings at the link below. I looked up July 24th and they are almost completely boooked. Looks like 12-2pm is the only time left.

Check Civil Wedding Availability

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Also, we are staying for 7 nights and are paying around $2600 for ocean view room (I can't remember exact price) and $580 for flights. We picked the free wedding package and are not doing the legal thing...just symbolic (no one will know the difference and it saves us like $400). If you are really picky about the flowers and cake and lots of decorations it can get pricey (but "pricey" is all relative and up for interpretation).

Just my thoughts! Congrats!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
