Hello from Grooms Are People Too

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone I am an Ohio based wedding photographer looking to do more destination weddings particularly in the Mayan Riviera area. I have done a few so far in Punta Cana, St. Thomas and Turkey.

My family has a home down there so I have been there several times, I am familiar with the area and could end up saving you a bunch on not having pay for a room for me at the resort. The home is located in Puerto Morelos, which is about half way between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen.

Please contact me if you have any questions and feel free to check out my sitw and blog.

Thanks everyone for the love on the name. It's also my tagline and blog name. Kinda picked up on the idea early in my wedding career. I think it is important to capture both sides of the the wedding couples story.

The brides want to be photographed looking their best and guys want to look cool and not silly in their wedding attire.

I have shot a lot of weddings and have yet to meet the groom who always imagined how he would look in his wedding tux. Brides on the other hand probably have been thinking about their dress since they were 4 ( I know my daughter already talks about it ).

So with that in mind and having been a groom myself I want to pay just as much attention to the groom and his family.

So thats how you get to "Grooms Are People Too"

Again thanks for the love and I hope to work with some of you soon.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
