Oops, did I find THE dress??

Recommended Posts

It looks gorgeous on you! I love the train! I just did the same thing too. I went to a trunk show and tried on about 10 dresses. I loved them all. I had to cut them down based on what cut looked best on me. But now I think of all the ones that had beautiful beading and so forth. I keep looking at the pics of me in it and try to remember what I felt like when I had it on. Its easy to forget that feeling and think about the millions of other dresses out there. You look beautiful!

I personally love that dress on you, it accentuates your gorgeous figure and it looks so beautiful and flowy. I hear you about the shopping though, I didn't fall in love with my dress immediately either but at the end of the day it definitely was the right dress for me. Give it some time for sure, as you get closer to the big day you will probably feel really excited to wear it. That's how it was for me anyway.... Good luck! :)

Thank you everyone! It has been almost 2 days and the feeling that it isn't the right dress is stronger. I keep thinking about the second dress I tried on. I really felt great in it, but I wasn't sure about it since it was ivory and I wanted white. I keep thinking about how I loved how I looked in it, despite the color. But I can't return my dress, and I couldn't tell my Mom that she spent all that money for nothing. And I also think my FI would love the ivory dress better on me. Maybe I will go try on my dress in a week or 2 and maybe by some chance I will fall in love it.

I think you look fantastic in the gown -- it's so classic and beautiful, and fits you like a dream!

But, I 100% know what you are going through...I bought a gown my first day out dress shopping, and after being haunted for a year or so that it wasn't "THE ONE", I ended up deciding to keep my 1st dress for our AHR, and then bought the dress of my dreams for the ceremony, and haven't had a single regret about it since!

Good luck and no matter what you decide, you look GORGEOUS in the gown you have right now! HUGS! wink.gif

I think the dress looks lovely on you. It really does. Question..is it a sample dress? If not...what does it hurt to contact the salon and ask if you could try on the other dress again and make an exchange if that is the one you want? It's only been a few days...they could not have possibly began production on the dress yet...at least I would not think so. I think it's one thing to want an out and return..but perhaps they might be understanding if it is an exchange you want.

Also...by any chance did your mother pay with and American Express card? I know that they have a return protection plan for the full purchase price up to $300 for returns where the store will not take back a return.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
