what to get for....?

Recommended Posts

Okay ladies, I am struggling at what to get my little kid attendants for their wedding presents. We have the groomsmen and bridesmaids presents but still have two boys (ages 8 & 4) and three girls (ages 5, 4, & 2). I made coloring books for all the kids coming to the wedding as well as got glow sticks (my 4 year old cousin specifically requested a blue glow bracelet, after he got one for 4th of July), but I feel like I need to get something for them for being in the wedding.

Thanks for your help!

Normally I would say a gift certificate for a place for kids like Chucky Cheese. But now thinking about it I realize they can't appreciate it. Kids that age need immediate gratification. Okay I am so bad with kids b/c I am not up to par but how about those Webkins dolls for the girls (assuming of course that they are into those) and something that is very "in" with the boys. Sorry Christine but I have no clue what that "it" thing is right now. I will have to do research to find out. But I'm sure someone on this forum will know.

I would say something non wedding related.

for girls:

webkins (our daugher is 8 and she and every other kid I know love them)

some cute dress up stuff

polly pockets

my little pony stuff

boys:

this is harder, but I do know boys that like webkins too, maybe ask there parents if they're into them

games

legos

I have a really hard time with the boys!

Hope this helps a little at least!

Im planning on making a little backpack goodie bag for both of my ringbearers (they will be 8 and 2.5) Im going to fill it with some markers, colouring books, legos, little toys, etc. Kinda anything to keep them entertained at the wedding. I think anything more than that may not be as exciting to them at this age.

great ideas! I agree that anything that they are interested in would be a great idea!
If you wanted to do something wedding related a bride barbie would be great for the girls

  • 7 years later...

My attendants are my children who will be 9.   My daughter was easy because I just got her jewelry but was stumped for my son.  After poking around on this site I found a great idea, but possibly not good for the younger boys -- dog tags!  On Etsy I found a site that will personalize them, some even had ring bearer ones with the date.

I will just get my son his name.  I may then find my daughter a personalized bracelet so both are similar and can be worn at the wedding.   My fiance doesn't think it matters if they are worn at the wedding, but it's important to me.   My daughter's dress won't allow for a necklace.

Phew, nonetheless, I am buying my son a dog tag and I LOVE the idea!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
