We have been doing black friday for years. This year we didn't need anything big and I lucked out that the two stores I wanted to go to I could go on-line and get the black friday sale prices. I got on JCPenny at about 10 CST. The other store I need was kohls. I could not get on the web site for black friday price till midnight and then when I was able it took me about an hour and half to shop and check out because of how many people were hitting the site. My FI just ask me how do you think you save and I told him. two items were normaly 100 each and I was able to get each for 31, so just in to items right there I saved 140. Crazy HUH? I didn't have to pay shipping at either place. JCPenny you had to spend $25 to get free shipping and Kohls you had to spend $100 which was easy for me too do. Hope yall had a Happy Black Friday!!!

I only went to Menards. I got 26 large jar candles for $1.87 each. I know it seems like a lot but i got some for my mom..

snuggie- $2.99 (could only get 1 because people were out of control with them)

2 fleece blankets- $1.87 each

3 pairs of gloves- $.50 each

1 cake pan w/lid- $6.00

8 drinking glasses- $5.00

mp 4 and video player- $20.00

I got a lot of other things but those items were the door busters I was after. Some of the stuff is kind of random (i know) but FI and I adopted a family in need for Christmas and some of these items are for them....

That's all for my black friday shopping- not too exciting but i was happy with what I got, except that I wanted one more snuggie =(

I did some online shopping also. I was able to get an external DVD/RW drive for $50 originally $100. I got another netbook, great for traveling only 3lbs :) and only $200 whoo hoo.

By far my best buy was my towels from Kohl's! I had been kicking around the idea to buy towels from cottonfruit.com for my OOT bags. I am so glad I waitedsmile29.gif My good ole' Kohl's had a great sale! I logged on and purchased beach sized towels for $2.49 each, I got 24 for $60 bunny_4.gif Click the image to open in full size.

I got free shipping because I ordered a few more items I am smiling from ear to ear. I LOOOOVE Black Friday shopping.

Thanks Sammysgirl, I love a bargain! I did most of my shopping online this go around. This was my first year doing it that way. It is something about being in the store getting my hands on the product before anyone else that I enjoy, but shopping online was much more convenient of course. It gets a thumbs up!

I wish I actually made it inside of Kohls though, I am sure I missed out on some deals instore.

I LOVE a bargin as well! This may sound really stupid, but I have never been big into black friday shopping, I had no idea that you could get some amazing deals online until I heard all the buzz about it this year!

I have been feeling super depressed today because typically I am completely finished with my Christmas shopping by now with the gifts wrapped and under the tree. I have maybe purchased 5 gifts! Fi and I also adopted a family in need for Christmas so that is extra shopping as well! I LOVE Christmas more than anything, but this go around i've been feeling a bit depressed (not sure why)...i'm hoping i get out of the blues soon!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
