Beaches Turks and Caicos ceremony sites

Recommended Posts

It is our hopes that our ceremony can be on the beach at the Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos. My only concern with the site location is my mother. She is very obese and I don't think she will be able to walk very far in the sand. Does anyone know if special arrangements can be made to help my mom get to the beach area? Are their sites that are semi private but still easily accessible?

Any suggestions?

It's a very long beach so being semi private won't be an issue. What you'll want is the ceremony to be close to where she is staying - I would recommend either the Caribbean Village in one of the Parrott Cay or Salt Cay room blocks as those are fairly close to the beach. Or the med village in one of the oceanview rooms.

There is a way to get to the beach from both of these villages and those locations should be fairly private! The caribbean side however is usually a touch quieter!

There are also gazebo's with the ocean as a backdrop so if a few stairs (there are stairs for all entrances to the beach- only a handfull) and sand will be extremely difficult on her that may be another option!

Good luck!

I just got married BTC in october. The beach location for the weddings is right below the deck at the schooners restaurant. My grandmother is handicap and was unable to get on the beach however, she was able to sit on the schooners deck and see/hear the whole wedding without a problem!

here is a candid shot of my group waiting and the deck/wedding location!

That's so helpful. Thank you.

What time of the day did you get married? I like the shade :-) It looks like you got the carefree package- i don't see any of the preston decorations. Did you get to pick the plants you had? Did you do a reception afterwards?

Thanks again for the info.

We got married at 3pm. It was pretty hot but we handed out fans and that really did help. It wasn't windy at all. I did have the carefree package and honestly I didnt care about the ceremony decor because th ocean and sand was so stunning! The ceremony only really lasts about 15minutes.

We did have a 3 hour reception which was held at the Iguana pool. I had 31 guests at my wedding so because of the large size I was limited in my choice of reception locations. You are able to pick the time for your reception and I would highly recommend waiting until dark for it to cool down. We started our reception at 5pm and it was really hot still.. most of the guests went to change into cooler clothes. Again, with the carefree package there wasn't much decoration. They had just plain white table clothes and we brought some table runners to match our theme. Here is a picture of the pool side reception set up (with my coral table runners):

I also had a reherseal dinner (they threw that in for free!) that was on the adult jacuzzi deck and heres the set up:

Yes most all of the pictures from my photobucket (Pictures by hammondwedding09 - Photobucket) are from the beaches photog. The photog I had was named Francesca. She was great! We ended up getting the 200 digital pictures package because she had so many great pictures.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
