Canvas bags worth it?

Recommended Posts

I am planning on giving our guests the personalized canvas totes. Has anyone regretted spending the money and time on these? I am just wondering if they will get used after the wedding or if they will just be tossed aside.

Any opinionshuh.gif??

Thanks

Some brides think it's worth it, other's think its a waste. I wouldn't recommend personalizing it with all of your wedding information but maybe just the name of the island and Month/year w/a small design like a starfish/palm tree. I feel if it has too much info your guests may not use it too much beyond the trip.

I wanted to do bags in the beginning but it's not definate. I will make my decision based on the number of guests that decide to come. If it's a small group then I'll do it. I'm also afraid that it may be wasted.

I did canvas bags with an embroidered green starfish with their last initial on top of the starfish in black. They ended up costing $10 each but I think they turned out well and everyone seemed to like them. I figure they'll use them again but if not they got a nice bag to walk around with while at the resort. Plus we only had 12 couples (1 bag per couple) so it wasn't a big cost. If I had a lot of people going I'd probably just do a colorful tote from cheaptotes.com......

I like the idea of the canvas tote with no personalization personally. I really doubt I'd reuse the bag again. In Toronto we now have to pay for plastic bags so everyone has a million canvas totes as it is.

For my wedding i just bought some simple paper bags with handles from Michaels. Walmart sells them too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
