I am way behind all of you with my dress search...my appointments are at the end of the month. I'm not that worried about timing (want something beachy and simple), but do feel some pressure seeing that you all are on first/second fittings. :o) Oops.

I've got everything else pretty much done, or on track, but I've been procrastinating with the dress. I have so much stress about this and I am honestly not looking foward to trying on dresses. I'm sure that I'm freaking out for nothing and that it will actually be a wonderful experience. I find that, over the past three weeks, I've been stressing over things for no reason (just too much on my plate with wedding, work and daily life).

The one bad thing about planning a destination wedding (for me) is that I'm constantly second guessing myself...I go in one direction and then think something else might be better. I did a mini table/centerpiece mockup the other day and my fiance and his family loved it (it is pretty) and all I could do was see the flaws. I've planning tons of events in the past, but never for myself. I am my worst client ever! I would love to have extra cash to hire a wedding coordinator.

All of this is putting me in the worst funk. I know I'll get over it. I think the diet of only 800 calories a day is partly to blame. Ha ha. Thanks for listening...it is nice to just get it out there. Just a little wedding/life breakdown.

xoxo,

800 cals a day?!?!? i'd be in a funk too!!!

I know how you feel though, I think we all put too much pressure on ourselves. just remeber that everything will be amazing on your wedding day!
and believe me...when you go for your dress appts, you'll have sooo much fun!!!!

Carolina24: congrats on the down payment for your FI's ring...i totally agree once something is done and you can cross it off your list it totally feels real, as dorky as it sounds I constantly find myself saying to myself "I REALLY am gettng married!" hahahah

Heres a little update on my part:

We went shopping for the guys outfits this past saturday (i of course tagged along because i just HAD to be there lol) and all turned out well...we found just what we (I) were looking for. And I am ecstatic that we found the guys shirts in the exact color that I wanted and was scared we werent going to be able to find. So all the guys got their stuff now all they need is their shoes and theyre set. I also ordered my diamond headband off of Etsy, whch is a perfect match to the diamonds on my jewelry, so im stoked i found it. Well I guess thats it for now...cant wait to hear all of everyones updates!!

Hi & Welcome jamk32179! sounds exciting about your dress!!

Mrs. timpone: I am contemplating on using a sand frame or not...it does seem complicated!! & i too love the idea of the frame just because the vases would be difficult to transport, but I am just unsure of the whole process. What if the sand shifts within the frame while transporting it?? lol grrrrrr there has to be an easier process or a Dummies guide hahaha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
