March 2010 Brides

Oooh STD's ok that makes sense! hehehe I wish I had done it more like that. sad.gif

I've read a few posts that say don't go overboard with OOT bags cause people end up not even using the stuff is a waste of moola...but i guess that depends what you are putting in there. we wanted to do the whole sunscreen and toothbrush stuff, but who goes to jamaica and doesn't already take it! lol so ya we are just doing shirts and beads..

The group events are both taking place at the resort...i put them on another post in better detail, but in the short form what we are doign is the first night there we are having a party at the disco, didn't want to pay for a cocktail party or whatever so we'll all be wearing the mardi gras beads (with shot glasses on them) which will be "identifiers" for everyone that night. so we don't have to make sure we introduce everyoen they can do it themselves when they see someone else with the beads on! and everyone will have some liquid courage too!

then the next day we are doing an amazing race kind of event with teams and pit stops and they have to do funny things between each pit stop, and at the end they'll find us in the pool and we'll have a pool party! it's gonna be so fun!

Oh ya we are both going to Runaway Bay! we go the 5th to 12th...and then lucky us are off to Negril until the 19th for our honeymoon!

We are just going to miss you by a couple days. We get down there on the 14th! I agree about the OOT bags, do not want to get crazy, but want a few cute things to show our appreciation for everyone coming down there with us. We are there until the 21st, then to another resort through the 25th. ;-)

Hey ladies! My date is mar 4th. I've ordered the dress (it came last week - I'm trying it on next wed), our STD's and invites have gone out. I have ordered and recieved our favours. We're not bringing any decorations/extra touches, so at this point I just need to get our music done for the ceremony, put the favours together, put ribbon and tags on fans for ceremony, and probably a hundred other things I'm forgetting :)

Too much to remember!!

Ha!! Sounds like you are doing very well on your check list!! I am hoping to get our invites out next weekend!! So how many people does everyone have booked?

We are having the issue of a lot of our friends are "waiting" until the price goes down and/or they get their tax return money back! That is totally cutting it close and making me nervous, so now i really want to do our invites! What were your RSVP dates?

We have 10 book plus us, so we are sitting on 12. I am only waiting on 2 and at this point I really dont care if they dont go. They are my FI friends and I kinda think they are just rude because everything is always about them, so I would be just fine if they stayed home. FI is starting to see it too and I know it suck because they have been friends since high school.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
