SarahMc's Dreams Cabo Wedding Review - long!

Recommended Posts

great review. I cant wait to see more pics. Sounds like everything went well, its too bad about the ipod though. I cant believe Dreams was so booked up in there off season, that makes me worried that guests that wait till last minute to book wont be able to get a room. Yikes.

Sarah, where did you get those starfish for your cake? Do you happen to want to sell them? I love them. I want them. lol

Great review. Its so funny cause I read it all even though I am not even getting married in Mexico.

Your pictures look great as well, I can't wait to see more.

dreams books to capacity most of the year. they probably book faster than any other resort in cabo. it is not unheard of to have the hotel booked full 6 months in advance.

they are already booked full for alot dates in october and november.

last minute bookers are going to either not be able to get a room or pay twice as much.

Great review Sarah! So glad you had such a wonderful wedding! Your set up (with the turquoise chair ties & table cloths is exactly what I did) - I LOVE IT! :) We are also hoping to plan a one year anniversary party at Dreams...so much fun!!! I love reading other's reviews so I can re-live it! Congrats!!

Sarah thanks for the review and WELCOME back! Really liked the turquoise, it has me waiting for more pics!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you about Himitsu... I remembered thinking while at Dreams that it really couldn't be as bad as the reviews were saying. Alas, it was as bad!

Nik San in Cabo is a great place for your sushi fix!!!

I got the starfish caketoppers from:

Wedding Ideas and Details Store

They shipped pretty quickly, even though it sounds like it will take them forever on the website. The small one is the four inch and the bigger one is six inch. We just ordered the small one at first, then thought it wasn't big enough, so decided to have two (like a bride and a groom starfish - cheesy I know). We thought the six inch would be the right size but actually it was a little big when you put the two together. The top of our cake was really small and wouldn't have held the six inch either (it would have looked to heavy).

Nicole - thanks again! We couldn't have had our intimate reception without you! We saw parts of your wedding too and it looked like so much fun!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
