Will you walk me down the aisle?

Recommended Posts

So, I doubt my dad will walk me down the aisle. He was a deadbeat dad growing up and still not dependable. He said that he is for sure coming to my wedding in the Bahamas, but the next month he asked my younger brother to ask me if I would cosign for $1500 for him. censored.gif No! So, anyways, I want to ask my Uncle to walk me down the aisle, and I wanted to do it in a creative and memorable way. He doesn't have any kids and never married, and has always been that father figure in my life. So,... any ideas ladies!

I think that's wonderful! You obviously have a special relationship with him! I don't have any creative ideas here, but I don't really think you need one. Just telling your uncle how much he means to you & asking him to walk you down the aisle at your wedding says it all! I think he will be extremely touched & feel honored to fill that role.

With a card. I LOVE cards. And it's something he can keep. You might have to make your own if you can't find a "Hallmark"... Or, do you have a picture of the two of you? Maybe give him a tie... to wear that dayhuh.gif Give him a CD with the song you will have playing while you walk down the aisle? Get him some new "walking" shoes? (that would be a humorous way!) Or a pedometer or something?? Guess it depends if you want it to be more humorous or sentimental. Good Luck! =)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
