And yes, as my fiancee and I are both attorneys, I second mrsgoodrich, get EVERYTHING in writing, email is best. I can't tell you how valuable it was to be able to reforward an email (with a time and date stamp) where they gave me misinformation. In retrospect, the email threads are comical, but I noticed that I would ask a direct question, and Sandals would respond with a non answer. Example, I asked if there would be an ipod dock provided and Sandals said "they reccommend I bring my own." Which doesn't really answer my question as to whether they have them there or not. When pushed, they admitted they did, but I Had to ask directly three times. They are well trained there to promise as little as possible in writing, probably to avoid nightmare brides like me!
LOL, I have to respond to NYCbridetobe... regarding my Fis direct questions and my when I flaky answers, he always says, "just the facts maam" LOL... same with Sandals/Beaches

Hey Ladies,

I appreciate all the info, I will be requesting everything in writing. My TA has gotten many answer from Amber, but I want it from her directly.

Regarding the tables, I was told that the centerpieces were $100 a piece, but its like paying for tables. 5centerpieces 5tables = $500.00. I will not be purchasing a MW package, we have beautiful beginnings, I will not be charged for extra tables. I totally agree the purpose of doing a DW is to save money. It makes no sense to charge $75.00 pp for food at an all inclusive resort. Well to save money I am bring my own decorations for wedding/reception and photographer. I trying to figure out my flower situation.

Ladies lets not get stressed, this is our day and we should enjoy planning. Stand your ground, Dont settle and be persistant. This forum is awesome! Lets stand strong and united, so we can have a cost efficient dream wedding.

Ms.Tiffany

Don't be nervous... I've heard from other brides that it's hard to get answers from the Miami WC. Just be happy if she calls you the right name (she emailed me and called me my travel agent's name even though my name is in my email address!) Others have said once it gets closer to the time of your wedding, they seem to communicate better.

I'm worried about the end cost, I'd like to know how much everything is up front so i can budget for it. We're trying to buy a house too so knowing how much we can spend on the wedding is a necessity... it's annoying with all the changes too- martha stewart and her collections don't appeal to me.

The "carefree" wedding isn't turning out to be so carefree.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
